Tiger Woods is returning to the competition just a few days after his long-awaited return to the field in an event that quickly turned into a thrashing.

Despite early struggles, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas took down Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods 3&2 in the seventh edition of The Match.

When Tiger matched J.T.'s birdie on the opening hole of a 12-hole charity exhibition to benefit Hurricane Ian relief efforts, he showed signs of life.

In spite of McIlroy's efforts, Thomas added another par-breaker on the following hole to seal the deal for the business partners.

In the second hole, Spieth joined the party with a shot of his own, before Spieth also added his own to the mix.

Due to the one-club challenge, Thomas used his 5-wood to par the fourth and moved the undefeated duo to 3 UP.

A few more pars and two more birdies were all it took for them to put the finishing touches on this match on the 10th hole, and they were cruising along as they put it all together.

It had more to do with the ham than the egg, but not quite the egg," said Spieth. "What an awesome experience."
