And also visited Poland for a short time as he concluded a sprint of diplomacy that aimed at thanking his country's most solid allies and reaffirming their support for him.

He expressed his satisfaction about his landmark visit to Washington in a brief evening address while en route home on Thursday.

He stressed that the White House had heeded “good results” that will aid Ukraine in its ongoing war effort, and that “everybody will be better off for it”.
