In addition to our regular crew of writers, we welcome anyone interested in sending us their movie reviews from a Christian perspective! If you are interested in contributing to Let There Be Movies, send us a message through Facebook, Twitter, or leave your contact information in the comments section below and we will get in touch with you. Here are some of our featured guest writers.
- Tyler blogs at More Than One Lesson, a movie review blog & podcast from a Christian perspective.
Tyler Smith is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a degree in Film & Video. In 2007, he co-created the podcast Battleship Pretension, which has since grown into a successful film discussion website and podcast network. In 2009, he created More Than One Lesson, a podcast and website that explores film from a Christian point of view. Tyler currently lives in North Hills with his wife, Jenny.
- Mikey blogs at Reel World Theology, a movie review blog & podcast from a Christian perspective.
Michael (or Mike, or Mikey, or “Fizz”, or “hey you!”) is the creator at Reel World Theology, a site that encourages people to recognize the greater theological themes and narratives in modern entertainment. With the understanding that today’s movie theaters have become modern day pulpits, he currently does his best to avoid simply referring to films as “good” or “bad” and tries to get to the heart of a story while better acknowledging the artistic and creative decisions that make story telling great. Through this outlet he has hosted live film discussions locally and taught informal classes on watching films and TV without turning off your brain.
Fizz currently resides in Greensboro, NC with his wife Laura and a gaggle of amazing friends. When he is not recording podcasts (which he is often doing), he can be found binge watching TV shows, discussing sports, playing music, having people over to his house, taking walks with his wife, and trying to be clever on Facebook.
