With her comments about nuclear energy, Grace Stanke, a violinist at the University of Wisconsin, impresses the judges

A student studying nuclear engineering from Wisconsin, Grace Stanke, became Miss America 2023 during a ceremony that took place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

There was no doubt in the minds of the panel of judges that Stanke would perform well during both the Red Carpet portion of the competition as well as the final round.

He gave one of the best performances on the violin that he has given in the past when it came to the talent portion of the competition.

Among the first runners-up, Taryn Delanie Smith was named Miss New York, while Miss Texas, Averie Bishop, was crowned the second runner-up.

One of the Top 11 finalists, Miss Nevada Heather Renner, was selected based on the votes of the American people to be one of the Top 11 finalists.

The winners were Lauren Teruya of Hawaii, Sophia Takla of Oregon, Elizabette Nies of Ohio, Elizabeth Hallal of Indiana, and Monica Mia Jones of Illinois, who was voted by the public.
