It’s almost Valentine’s Day, so we have been thinking about some of our favorite chick flicks. You could go to the theaters and see something new. But if you’d rather save money and stay at home. Here are some of our suggestions. What are your favorite movies to watch on Valentine’s Day? Let us know!!

Hitch: Starring Will Smith, Eva Mendes, and Kevin James, this movie is about Hitch(Will Smith) a “date doctor” and love professional who falls for a woman whom his skills and charm do not work. At the same time he is helping Albert(Kevin) win the heart of Allegra Cole. Will and Kevin are hilarious together and the music is great. The movie starts with Hitch outline the basics of how love/women work. But when he starts falling for someone, he finds out that his tricks don’t always work. The movies concludes where it started by answering the question, “what are the basic principles of falling in love?” And the answer is…”There are none.”

Chocolat: Amazing cast, great atmosphere, great music, and great food (chocolate, of course). So much of our Valentine’s Day celebration is focused on gorging ourselves on assorted chocolates, so you might as well watch this movie to get yourself psyched. And it is a movie that reminds you of the early sparks that fly in a relationship, and some of the work that goes into bringing those sparks back. Although, the work here is just accomplished by eating chocolate … but you get the principle.

‘The Notebook’: As cliche as this pick may be, I actually enjoyed this movie. A movie about a man’s undying love for his wife. Noah is sitting in nursing home telling Allie about the life they lived as youngsters in hopes that it’ll help her remember him. This movie is a true testament to unconditional love and, in my opinion, is the epitome of a great Valentine’s Day movie. It kind of has a Romeo & Juliet feel to it, which I believe everyone can agree is one of the most classic love stories known to man.

Titanic! For me this movie has it all. That first initial moment when you meet the person you are destined to be with. The making of choices to be with them. The freedom that your love gives you to open up and be yourself. Then the decision to sacrifice for your love. For me it’s a great story filled with action, adventure and great CGI. Over the top? At times… But it’s like flying.

You’ve Got Mail: You gotta admire a guy who can fight back Hitler and survive for years alone on an island all in the same decade. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan have great chemistry on screen. I love the back-and-forth picking and name-calling they each do. Great use of email to connect the characters to their true selves, despite it being a fairly new technology at the time. And of course, the guy must convince the girl of what is clearly true, she loves him even though she hates him
