I just left the Minions movie with my wife, youngest two, and eldest son and his lady.
My youngest 2 would give this a high rating. ( Not perfect , because they can wait until the DVD to see it again they said.)

Pixar Studios has one of the best reputations in the business for turning out original stories and endearing characters. They continue that trend with Inside Out, as the emotions of a young girl are brought to life and we watch the often hilarious, and sometimes heartwarming interactions between them. But does Inside Out hit the spot like so many other Pixar flicks? (Minor spoilers ahead)
Jirô Horikoshi: Who has seen the wind? Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling, The wind is passing through.

Introduction
This movie marks the end of Hayao Miyazaki’s directing career, at least of full length animated films. If you don’t recognize his name, you may be familiar with some of his works such as Howl’s Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, or Spirited Away. For years he has worked with Studio Ghibli to create beautiful anime movies and Disney has helped to bring those great films here to the states. As of late, I’ve been delving into the world of anime so I have been interested in seeing this movie. However, I’d forgotten about it until the other day when my brother-n-law recommended it to me. Unlike Miyazaki’s other movie’s I’ve seen, this one has very little action and zero fantasy. It trades those in for historical fiction and drama. It is beautiful and thought provoking and held by many as his masterpiece.
I’m going to start by saying, this isn’t my favorite animated film. It’s not a Frozen or Beauty and the Beast level.
However, it is a good movie and worth seeing. With a busy schedule we were unable to get to the theaters right away, so many of our readers that plan to see it probably already have. However, I will still do my best to not put spoilers into the review.

Once upon a time, there was a rat that loved to cook. Sounds plausible, right? But what appears to be an improbable premise is actually a moving story full of surprisingly deep life lessons. Place that in the hands of Pixar Animation studios and director Brad Bird, then add the illustrious voice talents of Ian Holm and Peter O’Toole, and the result is an award-winning animated gem for audience members of all ages.
“Come away, oh human child, to the waters and the wild
With a fairy, hand in hand,
For the world is more full of weeping than you can understand.”

An enchanting tale of grief and loss, magic and love, Song of the Sea (2014) is another animated work of art from director Tomm Moore (Secret of Kells). Utterly mesmerizing, the film draws you in as the line between reality and fairytale is gradually blurred, and then erased entirely. Award-winning and Oscar-nominated Song of the Sea is a magical and moving cinematic masterpiece.
“I have seen beauty thrive in the most fragile of places. I have seen the book–the book that turns darkness into light.”

The struggle between fear and creativity is endless. When we are children, creativity comes easily and naturally, but as we grow up, the concerns of everyday life begin to drown it out. The award-winning and Oscar-nominated gem The Secret of Kells (2009) illustrates how crucial our creativity is, and how we can use it to glorify God.
Hiro: [narrating] We didn’t set out to be superheroes. But sometimes life doesn’t go the way you planned. The good thing is, my brother wanted to help a lot of people and that’s what we’re going to do. Who are we?

Big Hero 6 is loosely based on the Marvel comic series of the same name. Many of the characters come straight from the comic, but much of the plot and back story has been changed. I haven’t read them yet, but plan to as soon as I finish writing this. Big Hero 6 is an origin story about 5 nerds and an inflatable robot that join forces to become superheros and save the day. We haven’t seen Disney make an animated superhero movie since The Incredibles, so I was pretty excited to see how this would turn out. They have once again proven that we can trust them.

Norman Babcock is just like any normal 11-year-old misfit, except that he can speak to the dead. Unfortunately no one else can see or hear the many ghosts who inhabit the small town of Blithe Hollow, Massachusetts, so people think he’s just weird—and perhaps crazy. But when a centuries-old witch’s curse brings zombies to town, Norman’s unique and strange ability comes in handy.

Hiccup, son of Stoick. Tamer of dragons. Next in line to be Berk’s chief. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Well, Hiccup doesn’t think so. The same guy that convinced a village of Vikings to invite dragons into their town and accept them as part of their culture and lifestyle, the same guy who was able to adopt one of the most feared dragons of all as a pet, is afraid of being chief.
It’s only natural, I suppose. After all, he doesn’t do well with the spotlight. It’s probably the stuttering. Actually, it’s definitely the stuttering. Successful leaders don’t stutter.
