A pet peeve of mine in movies is when a vehicle peels out on dirt and they add the sound affects as if the tire is squealing on dry pavement. Throwing dirt, kicking rocks, slidding in gravel… anything other than peeling out on dry pavement.

or in every cop show the tires squeel when they come to a stop, even though you can see the tires rolling.
